another oldie, Me 109

can't seem to get anything finished
i find butt gluing the edges works easier than using the little gluing strips provided

more pieces

building up the
you have to bend the edges over a little extra to make the butt gluing work
i find that i have to cut the strips that join 2 sections
once i have them glued into the first section
then i cut them several places so that they can bend in a little as the second section is forced over them
these sure are tiny models

Model & Scale

I love WW2 fighters. What scale is this and who publishes the model?

According to the first picture, it is Wilhelmshavner and 1/50 scale.

yes, they are old models

and i bought them long ago

the recessed troughs for the guns... always an exciting feature

the wing is built around an internal spar

wings on

the wing is a good fit
the model is design without openings for the wheels... it comes with landing gear, but it is just added to the bottom of the wing
i removed the openings and will try to add a little "depth" although i am building it wheels up

This was one the last good models from Willehelmshaven that I built. Their designs went south after that time period. Their He 111 and Ju 88 were crap.

oh yeh, this model remind me my childhood at the early 70' when i was building IAFM models.

it was one of my first models i built, after the spitfire.

this model is very good and very accurate, if my memory is still good.

good luck with it
