Fantastic work on the ordinance. You did a magnificent job on the pedals.

@ Longbow – hmm, in 1970, I was not yet 18
@ DavideV – as our native languages have a common origin, it is quite logical that I went for “lamination”, instead of “delamination” Thanks for the information, palindrome @ Gary – thanks With today’s pictures, I complete the ordnance. Assembling the other external tanks was more of the same. The outer tanks are big. These ones are huge! |

Wonderful, you seem to have a very neat process for building... results are quite perfect!

Incredible clean job up so far sir, hats off to you! Seems like this thread evokes all kinds of interesting stories and notes. I only sat in the cockpit of a F104G once, playing around with the hydraulics of the flaps and landing gear.

Thanks for the feedback, friends
@ Erik - I guess that, in comparison to the F-84, the F-104 is like "Star Wars". I envy you The cockpit detail is not the same as you would expect in a Halinski. However, it is quite consistent with the “not too ambitious but good-looking” kit approach. I didn’t find (my fault, probably…) clear indications about reinforcement thickness and it would be strange to use the same thickness card on the wing structure and in some cockpit details. So, it was a case by case choice, at my own risk… |

The cockpit is looking great and the ejection seat looks really good. Have you been taking ejection seat-building lessons from Yoav?
