@ Erik - we are, definitely, on the same boat (or plane ). Yes, the kit designer has a plan and any modeler is free to choose the path that best fits his/her taste. That's part of the game!

The wings are closed. I opted to fix the fillets with all-purpose glue, as the silver paint is very sensible to white glue and it is all too easy to have a mishap...

Mating the front fuselage section to the middle section, already with the cockpit installed, was a risky task, as there is no solid thing where to apply pressure in order to glue.
It went well and there is not a big difference between the real joint and the false (printed) joints.

Nice work on the joint. I agree that it is a tricky part.

I wish there was a better way to join with the cockpit installed.

Hi Ricleite, beautiful clean work. I see the risk you mentioned and to mitigate the problem, laminating each of the inside joining segments to make them stiffer as to allow exercising some pressure during the mating process, could be a solution. In any case, the seems aren't visible so your work is just perfect!

Erik

@ Isaac – I choose this assembly sequence but there are alternatives. Maybe the “blind” joint could be moved forward. However, it would complicate the front landing gear compartment assembly. Well, not an easy choice for the kit designer. The plane is what it is…

@ Erik – right I often use the method you propose to get stiffer tabs on “blind” joints. It does lower the risk. In this case, the tab is continuous, as the angle between consecutive skin parts is very small. So, the tab is not so flexible. Anyway, the method would be helpful here, too.

I experienced some trouble on the canopy. The middle frame part fits very poorly. I had to make cuts in the front, at the base and on both sides, in order get a decent result (if you don’t look too closely ). The plastic canopy is good – very thin and transparent.

Today's pictures show the landing gear, already with the doors installed.

Excellent workmanship on the landing gear. Great job on the details.
