Very nice Sukhoï Isaac
This is a nice and clean build and it's gonna be impressive when completed, and pretty long .
Looking forward to see it with his wings .
Regards,
Ronan

Cool Upper twin fairing

There are two fairing on the upper fuselage.

Normally on the real planes this is an afterthought where engineers screwed up or added new systems that need wires or tubing to pass from front to back.

This is a very distinctive feature on the Suchoi 7 aircraft

The kit provides you with two sets. Not sure why?

Here is ones to use. Careful to match the camouflage.

I rounded the long skinny pieces on a wood dowel.
Suchoi Su-7 Egyptian Air Force Model-Kom kit in 1/33 scale-img_1138.jpg

Then I inserted a half round plastic coffee stirrer to maintain that roundness and glued to the fuselage.

Add the front and back and repeat on the second one.

Here it is.

And the four cooling air intakes in the back

Cool Horizontal stabilizers

The horizontal stabilizers are all moving surfaces ( no elevators ).

The design is simple and elegant and relies on a strong inner frame to support the short pivot.

Of interest is the small thin fillet that is cut wider than needed, glued on and then trimmed to size.
Suchoi Su-7 Egyptian Air Force Model-Kom kit in 1/33 scale-img_1149.jpg

Here it is on as a dry fit only.

And both sides dry fit.

looks very nice Isaac.

it seem to me that the horizontal stabilizers is a little bit inclined down, am i right, or it is an optical illusion because of the pictures view?

keep on the good working

Wow Isaac, I missed out on this thread. Man, you're fast! Looking very good. Did you bring your cabinet to Montreal to display all the models you've made over there up so far? You must have a big place in order to store all your accomplishments. My wife would kill me - luckily I'm a slow builder .

Yoav

The horizontal stabilizers are not glued yet. Only dry fit.

I'll check the 3 view drawing to see if those are perfectly horizontal or slightly down

Cool Wing- main part

The wing is conventional in design, but has internal framing and also an interesting wing root sort of a fillet.
Suchoi Su-7 Egyptian Air Force Model-Kom kit in 1/33 scale-img_1162.jpg

The fillet is very narrow and almost invisible, but really adds realism to the model.

Suchoi Su-7 Egyptian Air Force Model-Kom kit in 1/33 scale-img_1163.jpgSuchoi Su-7 Egyptian Air Force Model-Kom kit in 1/33 scale-img_1164.jpg

It is cut with added material so you can handle it.
Suchoi Su-7 Egyptian Air Force Model-Kom kit in 1/33 scale-img_1165.jpg
When glued to the inside, you can then trim the excess off.
Suchoi Su-7 Egyptian Air Force Model-Kom kit in 1/33 scale-img_1166.jpg

Here is the inside

An joined.
