Cool Suchoi Su-7 Egyptian Air Force Model-Kom kit in 1/33 scale

Now that I finished my Israeli Air Force Mystere 4a,
Dassault Mystere IVa- GPM version

I thought a nice compliment would be this Egyptian Air Force Suchoi Su-7 fighter bomber ( an Egyptian Mig-15 would have been better ).

I have a fascination with Soviet jets and in the past built many of them in both plastic and paper. The Su-7 is a favorite with its long slick fuselage and highly swept back wings.

I currently have 4 Suchoi 7 and its derivative kits.

However, I selected the Model-Kom kit because it is camouflaged while the others are plain natural metal.
here is a picture from the Model-Kom site of the finished version ( or prototype ).
MODEL-KOM

The color of my kit are different than the above photo. I do not really know what are the correct colors of an Egyptian Suchoi 7, so I can't comment on its accuracy.

Also, it is a relatively easy to build ( we will find out if it is or not soon ). I have the laser frames, wheels and canopy, so that will make building faster as I don't enjoy making those by hand.

Here is the kit and accessories.

Building is my therapy. I feel relaxed and happy after each session.

I'm home now, so I can build in the evenings. Usually about 30 minutes to an hour at a time. I also watch a lot of movies, and those also are great past times.

Yes, these are all my kits.

I also have the Maly Midelarz Su-22 which is total crap. The Su-22 is the swing wing derivative of the Su-7.

As for the Model- Kom , its a new company for me. But ,their models are relatively simpler to build. Also, they don't have thousand of parts.

I hear you there, Isaac!
Ah, too many hobbies, too little time!
Good idea on setting up times for the hobbies. Thank you! (I always tend to do them all at the same time)

Smile Let's build

I decided to start with the cockpit first ( normally I don't do that, but wait for the last moment when it is needed ).

The design is relatively simple.

The parts

The tub
Suchoi Su-7 Egyptian Air Force Model-Kom kit in 1/33 scale-img_0995.jpgSuchoi Su-7 Egyptian Air Force Model-Kom kit in 1/33 scale-img_0996.jpg

And the seat.

And the sub assemblies

Is it accurate for this plane? I really don't know. The headrest looks a bit off, but it is OK for me. I will compare with the other kits I have later on.
