Yoav
I love the simplicity of your designs. The artwork that you use to render the parts are a main part of the visual realism. Your inlet and the splitter are very convincing! Also, I love the fact that the cockpit can be slipped in from the top opening instead of sandwiched in the fuselage sections that then need to be glued together. Isaac

YOAV Hi - the famous Mystere IV 110 is looking cool.
The blue \ brown color scheme looks great as the small added details printed on. Yair |

thank you my friends.
and now let's go to finel step of the air intake.....the lens. i had to do the lens by myself, so these are the steps. greeting YOAV step 1...... i took a wooden stick with the right diameter i need. i shape and smooth the edge of the stick to a round shape. than i put super glue on the edge, so the edge will be more smooth, so i can get a very clear lens as possible. step 2..... i put clear pvc on my vacuum form box...but without operate it. then, i took a hair dryer and heated the pvc and insert the wood stick to one of the holes on the vacuum form box. i insert the wood stick through the hole until i get the right shape and the right length i needed. in this method i can do a lot of lenses like the numbers of the holes i have on the vacuum form box and it is very easy and very fast to do. the next step is to join the parts of the lens. inserting the lens to her base from aft to the front and close it with the little former. and this is the finel result. |

Great stuff Yoav, the assembly of the nose is a top notch tutorial. What material are you using by the way for making lenses and canopies? Good old overhead projector sheets? Please do continue the good work my friend!

i use clear PVC of 200 micron. it is in the right thickness for me, and stretch with heat very well and i like his transparency. once i used clear PVC of 150 micron, but the canopies came out very soft and very Gentle to work with.....maybe it will be good for a little canopies of 1:50 scale or less. regards YOAV |
