I wish we could get UHU in the United States. I've tried a bunch of different glues to join paper to plastic, and not really found anything that works well.

That's beautiful Yoav, you are a very skilled canopy master. I'm still struggling with mine, haven't done it before. Slowly getting there.
We use similar brands like bison and velpon, indeed it's called twist and glue, to adjust the size of the nozzle. In the Netherlands you can get UHU but it occurs to me it's not widespread sale. I share your experience with removing glue stains. Especially with the sharp tip of a tooth pick (even like you say after 10 minutes or so), the excess of glue can be scraped away easily. Forms into a small sticky ball. Also when dry it can be removed. Even on printed paper that has been varnished stains can be removed. Somehow the varnish blocks the pores in the paper, which makes it easier to remove stains. But you have to be quick. Once dry you can't remove them anymore. Regards, Erik |

thanks Erik for the compliment, and i am happy we share the same opinion on the UHU.
i am still working with the white simple glue that i used to work on the 70's, but i reduce the using with it to 30%. now i work a lot with UHU and SUPER GLUE for internal formers or for things i like to glue fast, so i will not have to wait a long time untill they dry. soon i will put pictures of the model from head to the fin. regards YOAV |

finishing working on the tail fin and the fuselege.
YOAV and let's start with the tail fin. the part in the middle that connect between the canopy and the tail fin i left to the end, and why is that? the canopy and the fin tail in the MYSTER IV are joint from the start to the end, and i wanted that the canopy will be at the accurate place and the tail fin will be precisely at the end of the tail. so what i did? i placed first the canopy exactly to her place and then glue the tail fin precisely at the end of the tail. in the files i drew the middle section a little bit longer, about 1-2 mm longer, so i can cut where ever i needed.....you can see it the next pictures. i am tring to do my models accurate to the real thing, but flexible when it needed. and this is the part after i cut it. braking parachute house and some pictures of side view of the model. |

There are many flavors of "UHU", but if you're referring to Twist and Glue that Yoav mentioned, it's readily available stateside. Google - you'll find it on Amazon, eBay, Staples, to name a few.
Here's the link to Amazon - I use prime so can get it delivered tomorrow for $6, shipping included. Gene K |
