Lockheed L-1011 TriStar Orbital with Pegasus missile

The Lockheed L-1011 TriStar Orbital with Pegasus missile is now completed. The silver wings and engines used actually belong to the Prototype were they not appearing to be darker. So, I used them instead of throwing them into the bin and the effect looks okay. And, don't forget to open up the slot under the belly to house the top tailfin of the Pagasus missile.

After this, I'll deal with the RAF version..............

I started doing research on the Orbital L1011. One thing I noticed immediately is the wings are not overall aluminum (not taking anything away from Papermate's build!). They have the typical L1011 corogard inspars. See attached pix.

Fine job! Is the continuation of the red stripe up the tail (as in Les' photo) a recent addition to the aircraft's markings?

Looks like the aircraft has gone through several iterations of markings. Aaron's model is one of them, but it does present recolor opportunities. ESpecially the "Orbital ATK" version.

At long last and after three trials, the RAF version of the TriStar is now completed. The graphics alignment is okay and the build uneventful. Bet you RAF fans out there would love to have this one in your collection.
