1/33 Hawker Hurricane IIC Nightfighter

Hello gentlemen

New project this year, Hurricane nightfighter i got from gremir, it is designed by lukasz fuczek and i think it is the same one as answer model-art printed kit minus weathering

The aircraft is BE500 'LK-A' "United Provinces Cawnpore", being flown by Squadron Leader Dennis Smallwood, the Commanding Officer of No.87 Squadron RAF based at Charmy Down, Somerset. BE500 subsequently served with No. 533 Squadron RAF and finally in the Far East.

and this is the first time i work with 1/33 scale, this is going to need a lot of shelf space

i started with the nose section
the all-black paint does really well in hiding seams, which is not much as the kit fits together really well

next followed by cockpit and mid fuse formers, the instrument panel was perforated and plastic film is sandwiched in between. I put some random wire behind the trusses to make it looks more 'busy'

Hawker (and sydney camm) seems to have preference towards warren truss structure and mechanical joints on their aircrafts, especially hurricane and typhoon (which have front truss structure and rear former-longelon structure)

My dad is going to find this build quite useful. He is going to heavily detail the old Airfix 1/24 Hurricane, and your detailed build photos are going to be very useful. Keep it up!!!

Interesting build but I cannot understand the random wires, it seems to be counter intuitive to put something in that does not belong there.
