Hobby Model - Miles Magister
Next on my bench is this trainer aircraft. 4 pages of parts, one laminated on 1 mm.
So far the cockpit is coming along nicely. I'm not sure the foot pedals look right. I do know the "U" shaped wire part for this assembly is not dimensioned correctly in the patterns part of the diagrams. Greg

Quite a lot of progress last night! The cockpit is mostly done and the rear fuselage was built up and skinned.
Although there were some minor tweaks needed here and there, fit has been good overall and I have enjoyed my time with this project so far. I can only hope the remaining build goes as smoothly.... greg

Pretty airplane, Greg.
Everything looks good so far. I once built a stick and tissue flying version of this airplane. Don |

Thanks everyone!
Never fails, as soon as I open my mouth and say things are going good with a project, I hit a roadblock. The tail section was that first road block (or speed bump). The horizontal stabilizer built up well and fit nicely in its spot. The tail assembly took some thinking. The frame work underneath could not be built up like the diagrams suggest due to the rear most fuselage former that would have to go through the middle of the tail's frame. Since I have not been practicing my quantum physics skills much, I had to rethink this whole assembly. So I rearranged things a little and made a few mods to the framework and got the tail to fit. After that was all done, it appeared to me as though the horizontal stabilizer piece should be a little forward to meet the fuselage strakes , Also, the under side faring pieces did not fit as designed and I had to cut them apart to fit better. Then I had some gaps to fill with scrap paper and paint. Hope this is the only issue. greg
