Exclamation

Erik, Yoav, Yaron, Yair, KW and all builders of this Mirage model

I am inspired and have started to build this kit.

I will post shortly.

My main difference is that the model will be on its landing gear.

I'm still debating about opening the canopy and the 4 wing mounted speed brakes, but probably not because they will not add much.

A note on this model though:
I noticed that the light tan color when printing the kit appears to be almost pink. I have printed my model on premium paper and at 720 DPI and got the same pink color. After 6 tries, I found that the correct setting should be plain paper at 720 DPI and the color comes out tan as should be. Not sure why, but on my Epson and HP inkjet printers I get those results. I must remember when printing all of Yoav's camouflage models.

I will report on that issue when I start my thread.

Thanks for the inspiration and the reference.

Isaac

Mirage time

As a fan of Yoav's great models with superb textures, I'm building his Mirage IIIc - it's Mirage time.

You can find the construction report here -> Dassault Mirage IIIC (Shahak), YOAV HOZMI, 1:33 - www.sc2web.net

After completion, I like to show you the photos in flight and with the landing gear.

nice days from Austria,
Seppi

You did an amazing job Josef....well done.

a question:
Do you print your models with a laser printer on half-glossed photo sheets?

greetings from Israel

YOAV

Josef,

Can you show us (me) how to make the landing gear ?? Because it is not included in this model !! Would appreciate it very much, I am new in building airplanes, but I would like to give it a try with one of Yoav's models.

hi John

you can take the landing gears from the KFIR C7 of my friend Yaron.

they are the same like the MIRAGE....you only have to use the landing gear doors of the MIRAGE instead of the KFIR.
you can cut them from the wings and from the nose.

this is the link of DGA site
dgapapermodels.com/index.html

you can find there my models and the versions my friend Yaron did to my models.
look at the title Yaron's Models...you find there the KFIR C7 and the landing gears.

good luck

YOAV

hi Yoav,

yes I print your models on a laser printer with 2-sided glossy photo paper.
The paper weight is 170 gsm, to find at https://www.sigel.de/en_gb/workflow/...20Laser/Copier
After printing I spray the printed page with Zapon Spray and let it dry for 24 hours.

I'm really looking forward to Christmas - you know why ;-)

@John: The answer has already given you Yoav, have fun building the Mirage.

Best regards,
Josef

I asked you this question about the printer and the type of paper, because I saw in a few places like Attack edge of the wings and the horizontal stabilizer, that the paint was broken, peeling......Am I right?

From the experience of my friends with a laser printer and chrome pages, sometimes the color is broken and peeling in places of strong bending.
