DH.88 Comet (1:33 BM )

Hello

Last time i taken a look at pile of my uncut models. Still growing - every year i added new and new magazines.
So, now i decided to start bulid something freshy.

Beatifull and elegant airplane, built in 1934 in number of five especially for long distance air race. This concrete airframe is still airworthy ( ! ) and you can see it in displays of Shuttleworth Collection.

Lets begin!

Look at cover of magazine, few parts and assembly drawings. Next photos - fuselage frames. Unusual concept. Next will be cockpit.

See You soon.

A very interesting modeling subject, hope to see more of this soon.

I think that the wooden structure technic of this aircraft, was the base for the famuse "woden wonder" - the DH Mosquito.

Great internal structure to the fuselage. I am interested to see how the external skin sections fit over it?

Among the most beautiful aircraft ever built. I want to order mine soon, so I will follow your building report closely.

Cheers, Martin

Yepp, there were 2 Comets by DH, this has mislead more people than you.
Both of them were beautiful and very advanced aircraft for their time and purpose, but rather troublesome.
