Spitfire MKI "DWK"?
Does anybody know any Spitfire MKI paper models with the registration "DWK"? The aircraft is kinda soecial to me, they're my initials...lol.
If there isn't, could anyone recolour a free model of it? Thanks....

Hei, friend.
That coded Spit has a great place in my memory. It's one of my first Revell models in 1/32 scale. A lot of years ago, friend. |

MkI spit
N96HBK
I did a repaint of the free MkI spitfire some years ago for a Battle of Britain function. I have the MKI minus any letters. If you have any graphics software, you can put any letters on you want? Would this be any good to you? If so Ill send you a dropbox link for you to grab them. Regards |

Dong-woo -
Spitfire Mk.I DW-K was assigned to No. 610 Squadron (County of Chester Squadron) RAF. No. 610 was originally a Royal Auxiliary Air Force squadron (rather like the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve). World War 2 - No. RAF 610 Squadron, May 1940 http://www.raf.mod.uk/history/610squadron.cfm DW was the squadron code assigned to No. 610 Squadron. "K" was the individual aircraft letter. No. 610 Squadron and DW-K flew from Hawkinge Aerodrome in July 1940 (https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...f4430277c1.jpg) and were stationed at Biggin Hill during the Battle of Britain. https://scarfandgoggles.files.wordpr...une_1940_1.jpg https://scarfandgoggles.wordpress.com/tag/610-squadron/ Don |

Find below a link to my dropbox spitfire workshop. All the items are from from various sites. I've done some repainting on a few and the odd adjustment here and there. The MK22/24 is work in progress so it may be poor fitting in parts. Click on the file and save them to your desktop in the right format, IE .jpg or .BMP or PDF etc. LINK Enjoy |

Thanks!!! Since I only use vectors, I'll observe the bmps carefully and modify the original MKII files. Again, thanks!!

OK Buddy sounds good
I think we could open this up to all readers, anyone fancy putting DWK on the MKI spit in the link (Or mess around with any of the spits), feel free. They build quite well, Here's the 64 Sqn spit under construction with the PR XIX behind: Don - You got any good links on 64Sqn? Enjoy Last edited by alzictorini; 05-02-2016 at 07:24 AM. |

Very nice builds!!! I never built a spit before, I only built old 1/72 Airfix kits, all plus moulded models..
