landing light
There is a small detail under the forward fuselage that is the landing light. It is extended with the landing gear and stowed when not in use.
I added a small clear plastic lens. That's all for now. I'm on the way to the airport. Isaac

Attachment decisions around cockpit
The forward fuselage houses the cockpit. There is a large cutout on top that is open to the section aft of it. Also, there is a cutout below for the nose gear bay.
The problem is that if you install the gear bay and cockpit first, you will have a hard time attaching the aft fuselage sections. Therefore I suggest attaching the fuselage sections, and when dry, cutting out the opening for the nose gear bay. That is one way. An alternate one was recently shown on Maxe thread of his Hobby Model Suchoi 9 which is similar. He added sections frames to each section and then butt joined the frames instead of using tabs: see entry # 5. Suchoj Su-9, Hobby Model, 1:33 So first I assembled the nose gear bay. Then build the cockpit tub. here are the pieces: Here are the fuselage sections joined first. And yes, this printed paper is super sensitive to glue and does discolor. Isaac

Keeping an eye in this thread, Isaac.
Would like to see how you manage to apply the glue, given the fact that the silver painted paper. Any concerns? Any advise? |

Nose gear bay
That bay is assembled first. Then cut out the opening in the fuselage and then glue it from the inside.

Cockpit
The cockpit has to be pre assembled to a partial level ( or complete if you wish ).
Here is a view thru the fuselage opening. It will rest on top of the nose gear bay. The method I used is to slip it in from behind and inside. But, the gear bay has a tall feature in my way ( marked in red X ) and that will need to be cut off and glued back on later. Here is the cut off piece Now the cockpit is inserted and lightly glued in place. Once that is done, then add the X piece back and close it up with the rear bulkhead. Ready Isaac
