Thanks Yamits !

I agreed with you about the mig -21. That's the reason why I already build 3 and this one is the 4th and not the last.

The long front pitot tube is one of the mig -21 main characteristics. It was glued to place and later the two small vertical stabilizers will be installed in the forward pitot part.

Thanks Paperengineer !
Not much was left to finish this model as I am going to build it in flight mode without landing gears for dogfight simulated pictures with contemporaries.

Mig 21BIS version vs Mig 21 F13

The mig 21 hold the title of the most produced supersonic jet fighter ever as 11500 were built. The mig entered service in 1959 and today after 60 years is still flying and used operationally by several airforces. Some users upgraded it with new and modern avionics and radar. One example is the Indian Mig 21Bison with more than a hundred still serving with the IAF.
The comparision here is between the earlier and one of the latest Mig 21.
The f13 early type was also called fishbed C and was used mainly as a day fighter as local interceptor capable of mach 2.0. The main weakness of the type was the short range , 2 points only under the wings and basic radar.
The BIS had many improvements : nuch more powerful engine , 4 wing pointes, the dorsal dorsal spine was enlarged and was able to carry much more fuel. The radome cone was much bigger for housing much better radar for all weather.
The duct for air in the front was enlarged for the higher thrust engined and length graw by some 50 cm if we exclude the pitot tube in the front.
Attached images of the two side by side.

MIG -21 BIS and the rest of the MIG- 21 family

The mig -21 is the most produced supersonic fighter ever as some 11500 were built and this is not including the Chinese J7 variants . The service life streched over 60 years from 1959 and even today the type is still serving with some 15 airforces around the world which is a proof to the basic good design.
So far I have 4 variants - the mig 21 f13 , the two sitter mongol , the mf and bis.
Attached are images of the 4 variants in 1:48 scale.
