Mig -21 bis 1:48

I started another Mig -21bis project. This is the latest variant of the Mig-21 and is different in many ways from Mig -21F-13 which was the early type and was the subject of my previous one.
I attach here pics of the fuselage construction stages.
Will be continued.

Thanks Paperengineer and Gary !

The Mig- 21 was the most important Russian fighter from the early 60's till the early 90's.
If I am not wrong some airforces are still flying it today !
Among the Russian jet fighters it's my favorite.

I love the MiG-21, but I have to say my favorite is the MiG-15.

Thanks,
Gary

As I have only two built mig -15 's I hope to build some more with different airforces color schemes.

Mig -21 bis build diary continued

The cockpit compartment was prepared and glued to the fuselage. The ejection seat will be constructed and mounted before the canopy mounting. Instrument panel and front dust cover
were mounted. Next the front and rear fuselage need to be glued to one part.
Will be continued.

Mig -21 bis build diary continued

The fuselage two sections were glued. It is always a hard job
to connect the front cockpit installed part to the rear one but this time it went fine without
distoreted parts. The radome cone is quite big in the bis version as it housed larger radar
then earlier mig 21 versions.
Next will come the tail and wings .
