Kampfflieger's OH-6A Cayuse Helicopter - 1:72

A buddy bought a copy of this from ecardmodels for my birthday last week. It was a quick build and resulted in a nice little model. Here's the build, start to finish:

I also repainted this model and the 1:48 version to a black scheme per request over on Zealot. The repaint is available on Ecardmodels.com under the designer name cMags cardModels.

I love this little bird kit. I'm thinking of reprinting it on light paper and trying to make a new housing for my micro-rc chopper with it

I am just waiting for the Magnum P.I./Island Hopper version, with the T tail.

I tried the recolor and failed miserably, so I'm starting from scratch and desiging a new kit. I'm about halfway through the interior right now

The T-tail version is the MD-500 IIRC, and there's a very detailed free version available from Clever Santoro at Clever - Windows Live under the left section labled Aeronaves.

Chris, I know, and a MH-6A Little Bird is a welcome addition to the helicopter model fleet

I wasn't very familiar with the Island Hopper, but looking around at what few images there are on the web, it wouldn't take much to modify the OH-6A into one. Seems like it would be a minor tail modification, and changing the 4-blade main prop into a 5-blade, plus the paintjob.

If there's interest, I could see if Roman would allow the modification, but its a bit more than a new paintjob so I'm not sure. I certainly don't want to step on any toes if this is already in the works however.
