Mini Start Cart!!! Coooooool!!!! Very nice!!

Remember, you need two Start Carts for an SR71,
and they drive underneath the Engine pods.
Those little square hatches on top lift up revealing the gear drive connector
that connects to the underside of the engines.

I have a feeling the scale isn't quite right on one of the models.
My Carts are properly to scale at 1/48.

They only used one start cart. The engines could only be started one at a time. Coming directly from my Dad, who worked on SR-71's.

Its never good to argue with someone who was there...but...
I knew this was something that I had read (when creating the AG330 model).

I am only quoting a number of sources when I say that two AG-330s were used.
Engines had to be started one at a time, yes, because it was such a heavily monitored operation
but maybe they just didn't want to wait to move the Start Cart once they were ready to start the second engine?

Our PAO at Dryden while I was at NASA said the start cart engine noise was louder than any airplane he ever heard!
