Zio Prudenziati's Fokker D.VII in 1:100

Every modelers dream --- a biplane with almost no rigging! Probably not what Reinhold Platz had in mind when he designed it one hundred years ago. This aircraft was so successful that it's surrender to the Allies was demanded in the Armistice.

One of Zio Prudenziati's little gems. Since it is a slab sided fuselage I decided a little strenghtening was a good idea hence the card stock side inserts.

Another worthy addition Michael. Your hangar must be getting near full by now.

Zio models are beautiful, I have mounted several, the double-tab system is fabulous, I think there are not many designers who use this system. The wiring is another issue, it is not easy.

No dihedral. No joining wing halves. What more could you want!

To me Prudenziati's creations are true works of designer's art.

So far you're doing him proud Michael.

Nearing the final push. This is a splendid little kit of a great aerioplane. It needs some re-engineering to really make it sturdier but I really enjoy that aspect of this hobby. If I can make them last a few hours longer in the hands of a 3 year old I feel as if have accomplished something.

Zio's models have got that real 'depth' to them.

Been 'itchin to do one of these myself, so watching your build with interest. Always better to go into into a new build forearmed with someone else's experience.

Can't wait to see the end!
