Hello Lukas - thanks for clarifying the point about the central girder. I hadn't noticed that the instructions really are to blame. Very good to know!
Your build, and the photos of it, are really delicious! - L. PS. On the other hand - if you hadn't mounted it according to the instruction, the rudder pedals wouldn't have had any room to swing. So you did well. What one could think abut is to make cutouts in both front and rear wing spars, making them the same height as the girder, for the stretch within the cockpit walls. That's what I would do for any future build, with your experience and this discussion in mind.

Hello,
I've made almost whole tail. Just one more part to finish. Nothing to say about this stage. Everything was fine there. The final result and steps that I've done you can see on the pictures bellow. Hope everything is clear Stage one: Stage two: Stage three: Just few things left. Now I am going to do finish engine and its cover. Thanks Leif. I agree. Anyway this is my third plane. I believe that next one will be closer to the original one douglasmarrel there is something about it haha |

Very impressive work. A lot of details, and your build is nice, clean, and well fitting. Keep up the great work.

Hi,
Thanks guys for all the comments Work still in progress but also closer to the end. I've done ailerons: Next I've stuck engine to the frontal frame of the plane: After that I've stuck its cover and exhaust pipes(top and sides): Last things that I did were bottom exhaust pipies of the engine: Now I am going to do landing gear and prop. Hi Lukas,
I agree with YOAV...nicely done. I love the aileron work and the clean engine. I think I need to try to make separate control surfaces too... Neat! Dan Last edited by smithdr; 10-05-2016 at 03:36 PM. Reason: spelling |
