Don't roll tubes. Unroll tubes. Start with a paper Q-tip, cut off the cotton ball ends, then slice down the length of the paper shaft. Then just unroll the shaft until you get the right diameter. Use superglue to reinforce the tube if it's very thin.

Joshua,

Build for yourself, do not build for anyone else but you.

If you build for someone else, you might end up disappointing them.

enjoy the hobby, build what you like

Hi Joshua,
That's a very fine collection of 1:144 aircraft you have build up so far! Your room must look like an airport by now. Reminds me of the days I was your age when I had hung a fishing net from the ceiling of my room, fully loaded with plastic aircraft scale 1:72, Airfix and the like. Those were the days, my mother usually not amused as they caught a lot of dust.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers,
Erik

The fishing net is a good idea! I'm always struggling to tie invisible string into loops for the airplanes. Unfortunately, there is quite a lot of dust on my planes too.

Your DC-9 is looking good by the way!

Herky, sorry about that.. I'm moving in the summer so I can't build any widebodies. I really wanted to build the A380 though.

I got bored and decided to put my whole fleet on the dinner table. To my surprise, I had so many that I had to park them Roswell-style. They look a lot smaller on the ceiling.

Unfortunately, because of the impending move, I am restricted on what I build, which means no widebodies. The United 767 is the exception, as I had already promised to give that to someone.

To make things worse, I have no idea where I'm moving yet. I'll have to give or throw away most of the planes if I move out of Ohio.

This means that this thread will be churning out less builds. Hopefully I can get back to it after the move.
