Thank you all! I finally finished Gary Pilsworth's DHL DC-8, and I am very happy with how it turned out! Unfortunately I think this will be my last build here as I am moving in a couple of weeks. Hopefully I can build more after I move.

Nice work. The DC-8 was a long and graceful airplane. I flew from Vietnam to San Francisco in a DC-8 in 1967. I think it had different (smaller) engines than this model.

Good wishes on the move. Hope you are moving to some place interesting and that you will soon be building models again.

Don

So...here is my fleet. I managed to give away half of my fleet (didn't know people were so interested in them) and stuff the other half in this box. Since I'm moving across the country, I'll be taking a five day road trip to my new location on Tuesday. It's hard saying goodbye to Cincinnati after 12 years but I hope things will be even better in Washington. Thanks to everyone who has followed this thread, and I will do my best to keep adding new builds to it!

Washington state or Washington DC?

If Washington DC, you will be in the vicinity of the International Paper Modelers' Convention (IMPC) in Sterling, Virginia, on 4 November of this year: International Paper Modelers Convention

It would be great to see you and some of your models. Even if the cost of the banquet is too high, there is no charge at all for stopping by and visiting the event.

Unfortunately, I'll be moving to Washington State. I'd love to come to one of the conventions though!

It's been a couple of days since I arrived in Seattle. It was a bit tough at first, but I like it here now. There are tons of blackberries(expensive in Ohio), and our house is in the arrival path of SeaTac, so I get to watch tons of Alaska and Delta a/c on approach. School starts next Wednesday for me, and I hope I adjust well. I finally get to be a part of an orchestra, which is nice but also the source of some anxiety. Since I'm expecting little downtime during school, I started the one printed model I have: a United 777 by Chris Roden. Unfortunately I do not have access to a printer so this might be my only build in the near future...we shall see though.
