Looks good so far. If need be, you have places like Staples and such that can print for you until your back up and running.
Good luck with the new school.

Thank you, Gary and Rich!

Rich, I tried printing at officemax once and I got charged $30 for 30 sheets. (????) I have no idea how they charge you for the printing services but if every place is that expensive I don't think I can do that. Does anybody get charged less when they print cardstock at Staples?

Or maybe that's not unusual... Oh well.

I've printed at Staples, and it wasn't very expensive at all. The quality of card stock was great. I think that if you don't need the job immediately, and can wait until the next day it is a lot cheaper. Make sure you give them instructions NOT to shrink to fit, one sided, and best possible quality.

Good luck!

Gary

Good start on that United 777, Joshua!

I am about to try the Staples route for getting models printed. My Epson XP-640 almost always puts faint lines across my printed-out models in spite of repeated cleaning (which eats up ink) and head alignment. Had the same problem with the previous printer. If you try getting models printed at Staples, let me know how it turns out. Forum member and Carlisle neighbor Ann McMillin has all her models printed by Staples. She emails the models and picks them up later in the day.

Good wishes for school, music, and model building in the new academic year.

Don

Thank you Don, I'll let you know if I do go the Staples route.

Gary, how much do you think it was per page?

I tried to cut all of the fan blades, here's how it turned out.

Here's the completed model, alongside its regional peer and (disliked?) 77W sibling ( you know, United vs Emirates). It was quite an enjoyable build, and if this does turn out to be my only build in the near future, I will be quite happy. Thanks Chris for a great repaint, and you should put it up in the Downloads section.

Very good looking trio you've got there.
I personally have never had anything printed at Staples, I've always printed all my stuff at home. Even have a printer that prints, scans and copies full A3 size. Next time I get there I'll look into how much it costs here. I always heard how cheap it was, guess that's not the case.
Guess it depends on the paper/card stock you choose, the size, quality and how soon you need it.
