and I already gave/sold another 34 plastic model kits that were still in my possession. I am done with plastic and will probably sell my compressor and airbrushes as well.'

Don

Off to Venice FL.

This should be my last move. ( the next stop after that will be a Senior Living place ).

My mom keeps asking me why I build so many models? I said because it gives me pleasure to give them away!

I will then depart this earth when I give away my last model

Hi Isaac, it might be worth hanging on to your airbrush - it could come in handy if you ever wanted to paint a paper model.

not really sure if they want some of the models since none are WW2 planes. Even the tanks are post WW2.

I never painted any paper model, so that will be unlikely of me.

Painting models is usually best for vehicles and tanks though.

Any paper model can be painted, just like plastic ones. Specially if you have some decals remaining

I did not say they can't be painted, but for airplanes it is very difficult to achieve a realistic look by painting them afterword.

For tanks and military vehicles it is much easier since they represent a real subject in a more realistic way. And you can make vehicles dirty, oily and worn much easier.

In any case, my preference is not to paint or spray a clear coat of any type. My oldest models were built 40 years ago and last quite well despite lots of moves and storage in the hot attic.
