I do apologize for the missing blue patches.
I will adapt the model asap and release it corrected. I really wish I could test all my designs On the other hand, big thanks to Robert for this nice build and tutorial. B |

Finished
I have added just landing gears, nose weight and canopy, with some final edge-painting and it is done. Legs I have rolled around the wire: The only issues were - which way to roll the parts of legs. I decided to make it this way: Front gear I updated by some small parts for better look: And final pictures: |

Well, at one point Northrop thought of doing an F-5 with a high wing. Add the twin tails of the iranian HESA Saeqhe and you get a proto-YF-17.

I would say it should, since it's almost the same aircraft, at least the earlier versions of it. I would say the 17 is more similar to the original 18 than the current Super Hornet is.

There is truth in both statemdnts.
The yf17 evolved from the F-5E but was substantually bigger. The F-18 evolved from the YF-17 yet the latter was used for evaluations during the prototype builds of the former. The big difference being the nose section which was build by McDonnel-Douglas. The wings and fuselage were still build by Northrop. If my info is correct, of course |

And if not... is very believable.
It really looks good! Is this available at ecardmodels... or somewhere else? |
