World War 2 Aircraft safety markings
Good day,
I’ve wondered if anyone might be able to help or direct me to a site where I might find safety markings of WW2 aircraft. Remember I’m up scaling the 1:72 Gabriel Me-109G2 and the safety markings and warning decals looses detail when scaled up. See for instance the triangle in this picture…. It’s readable and I can redo it in photoshop. But the other is insanely hard to figure out and no where could i find references to them...... Could someone please help, I will be really appreciative if someone can…. Have a great day |

I think this has some of the common Luftwaffe warning markings - Simmers Paint Shop Forums - Downloads - Special German Markings.
The download is a multi-layer Photoshop file but will open ok in Gimp. There are many more marking templates at: Simmers Paint Shop Forums - Downloads - Markings Regards, Charlie |

I know the lower line is a warning about the oil cooler, but I'll have to look for the proper text.

I think it reads:
"Vorsicht beim Offnen Kuhler ist im Haubenteit eingebaut" The red triangle should contain the word "Rotring" if it's the same as the F model. The cowling fastener at the front of the exhaust pipes should have the word "ZU" to indicate the closed position. Regards, Charlie |

There are lots of decal sheets available for different aircraft in 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32 scale, and in 1/35 scale for armor. Check the hobby shops and Squadron mail order. Not mentioning any possibility of copyright infringement, these could be tweaked up or down to most scales in paper models.

Sorry - a minor question from a mostly plastic-model builder.. Does anyone here knows a similar page for decals of civil TRUCKS? Especially Peterbilt 359? I wish to decorate my Revell model in 1/24 with some decals...
(it is not ready now....) |
