Murph's Model beta build - Naval Aircraft Factory N3N Canary aka "Yellow Peril", 1/34
The upcoming beta build is Aaron's Yellow Peril in 4 liveries. Just began the
Yellow Peril with floats. Began actually means a quick build of the fuselage to determine the scale of this model. Measuring 9 inches long from tip of prop to end of tail fin, the YP comes at a scale of 1/34 very close to the popular 1/33 that many of the papermodeling community are happy with. The fit is so far so good and everything lines up perfectly. Aaron worries about the float and I'll be testing it later on. So here's some sneak peek of the YP in its truly yellow colour, just one cylinder on the engine block and half a prop as a teaser. Almost forgot to say that the kit comes with a beaching cradle for the float version. Have started drooling, haven't you? Papermate |

Very nicely done, that looks like a nicely designed model from what has to be a very talented artist.

Everything looks good, Papermate! This was a really attractive airplane. It appears that Murph has produced another good design and you are applying your usual outstanding craftsmanship.

The Yellow Perils, once completed, should be 4 more winners added to the stable.

I did include the wheeled gear, and the little dolly that holds them.

This build so far is dangerously clean; it makes me fell like a dirty... PAPERMATE WHAT IS YOUR SECRET MAN?!?

If I remember correctly, he has a team of tiny elves with magic hands who do the building.

Thank you all, guys, for your compliments.
Falco, there's actually no secret but just plain work, trial and error and most important of all patience and learning from many other masters on this forum. And yes, Aaron, my team of elves works hard at times but sometimes plays up when they are over-worked and definitely NO PAY. They are gratified if I bathe them in warm water. Papermate |
