I already build this model.
The model is hard to build with some erros and very big but it is also very, very beautiful!
You can take some references here:

B-17G Flying Fortress; GPM; 1/33

Hello friends ,

just a Little bit more ...

This is followed by the building section B, where there are some more parts. I do not stick the two parts together yet, I must first see how the outer skin is processed. The rear MG stand reminds of the GELI cockpits. Now the interiors are finished.

Kind regards
Kurt

Well done, Kurt. The interior looks neat and tidy. There is something really cool about the artwork on these kits.

You are moving fast too!

Cheers,

Dan

Hello !

The frame 1a is tapered conically, the edges I color with Edding silver.
The frame must be glued flush.
Now insert the inner part and end with frame 1b.
ATTENTION! Part 2 is erroneously referred to as Part 3!

Kind regards Kurt

Hello friends ,

Spant 2a is installed.
Attention ! Do not forget to install the astro dome before the inner part is used. The fuselage part is closed with the bobbin 2b.

Hull parts 1 and 2 are now assembled, but there are some inaccuracies. On part 3 there is the pin up girl you have to paint yourself.

Best regards

Nice work Kurt, I see that you have painted the 'bit o'lace" lady, I remember the model itself hasn't provided that kind of art work. It's a pity that the internal details are quite basic, GPM could have made much more out of it I think. Did you buy the nose cone and astro dome, or made them yourself?

Erik

Hello Erik ,

Yes, of course, the details are not so pronounced with this model, but if the bird first times in my house hangs one sees these inadequacies no longer. The glass hoods I bought in the set.

Hello !!
The exposed areas marked with "W" are cut out and glued back at the back with a thin cassette paper.
Now cut the open space out, in addition I glue flaps a to achieve a more beautiful Transition

Kind regards Kurt

Excellent work!! Congratulations. As for more internal detail, I think that once the model is built, the detail will not be visible so I think that just basic detailing for inside is enough. I have always considered useless work and waste of time trying to detail the inside of a model when it will not be visible.
