Thanks for the comments, friends

As always in Halinski kits, the cockpit is full of details. They will keep me busy for quite a while.

Thanks, Don
@ Erik - could be By the way, there is space for a complete party and not just for the pilot's lunch

I guess that the second picture shows the radio set. It is very small but you can see, in the instruction diagram, that it takes many parts!

superb work. maybe the box is a battery box, it looks like the type of box with secured straps that I have in my boat. the dark gray rectangles forward of the instrument panels are the machine gun breaches. it is odd that the throttle quadrant is on the right, unless they have another function, landing gear or flaps of some sort... but again wonderful work!

I wonder if that box is there to store an oxygen mask and bottle and maps. The Ki-84 was designed to tackle the high flying B-29 that were fire bombing Japan. So if oxygen is only needed on high altitude intercepts , the mask and hose could be kept away at low altitudes.

If not , then that is where his Bento box lunch is stored.

Good looking cockpit with an interesting internal structure. It's always amazing to see how Halinski designs such features of an aircraft model and it's a pity that all these details will eventually be hidden for the greater part.

Storage box for maps and oxygen equipment sounds more plausible! The usual diet for Japanese soldiers and pilots was white rice and fish which did not take up so much space....
