Well, you probably noticed that I missed the side. It is on the airplane's left...
@ Erik - You have just made me imagine a tiny cartoon character desperately trying to get in the cockpit @ Yoav - You know that I very seldom read the instructions or follow the proposed assembly sequence... Yeah, not a good method... In this case, the fuselage skin part includes the aft section of the wing fillets and I thougth it might be a good idea to add the middle section. Hopefully, the fillets already have the correct curvature but they are still quite "mobile", in case of need. The real problem will be in the leading edge, which has an extremely complex shape. I'll get there In the meantime, let me whish Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for all Today’s pictures show the fuselage section just behind the engine. |

Even the gluing strip is extremely detailed, with zillions of shark teeth. Can't wait to start with a Halinski myself!
Looking very good, as usual !! Erik |

Thanks, Gary and Erik
@ Erik - Well, Halinski exaggerated somewhat in the number of teeth! They had to be short, in order not to conflict with the next section but they could be much wider with virtually no difference on the final result. I remember cutting just half of the teeth on some parts of a FlyModel Lightning, making them both wider and longer. There was nothing on the negative side, in that case! After a hard work on the cockpit, nothing better than a “pause” with something simpler: the horizontal tail. As always in Halinski kits, this assembly has many parts. They take time to process but make it easier to get the correct shapes. |

Thanks for putting "in progress" shots of the little pieces before and after. This helps clueless newbies such as myself to understand the assembly sequence.
This stuff is golden and just fascinating to watch. Keep it up! Dan |
