1902 Wright glider 1/33
Hello,
I would like to show you several photos of the model that I'm building. I decided to enlarge my gliders collection from pioneering years of aviation. This time it is a 1902 Wright brothers glider. It was their third glider but the first with control by use a rear rudder. 1902 glider led directly to his famous aircraft "Flyer" (1903). Own design build from scratch. Materials - bamboo, pure silk, silk threads, steel wire. Regards, Dick |

It's going to be beautiful. You said 'enlarging the collection', how many do you have already? Are they all in 1/33?

Hello,
Thank you for your kind words. Vermin KIng - yes, all in 1/33 scale. I have 13 airplanes and 3 gliders (Tanski Lotnia, Lilienthal Doppeldecker and Chanutes Triplane) but some flew away to my friends Regards, Dick |

Inspiring work.
Is that how the wing ribs on the originals were covered? Only strips of fabric along the ribs on the bottom surface rather than a full sheet? I'd never thought about it but it certainly makes sense and would save weight. --jeff |
