Genius as usual, John. Thanks for following this thread. I'll try that on the NEXT Lib...maybe the Goon or Dragon and His Tail or....
Neat model so far. Any issues have been self-induced. Dan |

Thanks for the quick responses, Dan and John.
I will save the nacelle technique for my first John Dell Pacific B-24. I did use a long dowel to massage the nacelles onto the inner wings, and will use that technique again. Practice makes better (if not perfect, in my case). Meanwhile, I continue to enjoy and learn from this build. Don |

B-24 "Witchcraft" FINITO!
All,
I got all the bits and pieces on this guy and I'm really pleased with it. I got the bomb bay open with little drama so before I hang it up, I'll print out some bombs and figure out how to make them look like they are on their way out...we'll see what happens! But all in all, it's done and I can't wait to start another. The hardest parts for me were the nacelles and tail turret. The highlights are the fantastic skin renderings, weathering, panels etc. Top notch. I also think the ball turret is a thing of beauty. I was gun shy of that thing and it went together great and looks like a real sphere (within reason). Love it. The DF loop is ingenious. A Q-tip coated with glue, formed and covered in Sharpie. Amazing how neat it looks. Only other issue is photographing the dang thing. Kind of large! So...here it is... Thanks for looking and the folks on this site are super helpful especially to a new person like me. Cheers, Dan |

Excellent, Dan!
I learned a lot from your build, and enjoyed watching Witchcraft come together. What's the next project? Don |

Amazing work Dan. I love the open bomb bay doors.

Thanks, Don, Gary, R-Man and John...much appreciated.
This was such a fun build and it was cool to let the paper sort of "form itself" rather than have all those formers (except where needed like the main wing spar which worked great). There will be more in the future. I may even build it again with landing gear etc. and airbrush a different scheme like I've done on the J-22 Swedish fighter...we'll see. What's next? Finish the aforementioned J-22, then a Supermarine Seamew resin model then I'll go back and forth between the Radetzky and probably the PZL I need to build. I also like that recent Zeppelin and found on that same site some cool WWI planes, tanks and armored cars!!! So much paper...so little time! Dan |

What a beautiful build! It's clean and precise. Unfortunately, many people don't take an interest in the Liberator. John Dell and Dave Winfield have very well done selections. But, there are so many interesting variants, nose art schemes, along with specific aircraft whose exploits need to be remembered that make the Liberator an excellent subject.
