Too late. The cockpit is glued in. I will have to do my best to work around it. I DID glue the weights in earlier, though.

Cool insert cockpit

Now that the fuselage sections around the cockpit are joined, we are ready

The parts
FJ-1 Fury in 1/33 scale-img_2666.jpg

and the cockpit tub is inserted from the open end of the fuselage rear fitted and glued in place. That was easy.
FJ-1 Fury in 1/33 scale-img_2669.jpgFJ-1 Fury in 1/33 scale-img_2670.jpgFJ-1 Fury in 1/33 scale-img_2671.jpg

and the seats and controls ( modified parts ).
FJ-1 Fury in 1/33 scale-img_2673.jpg

and all in ( the seat is not yet glued. That can be done last to prevent damage ).

and lastly a rear view of the inside

Now I have to go to work and fix a real plane.

Later.

I bought this model long time ago, i printed it and i never started to build it, may be intimidated by the skill needed to make it well.
Following this paired build, make me thinking that i would be able to do it, following your experience.
Keep it up.

Best, Nando

I would say that this kit requires average skill

Some parts require more attention or technique, but mostly straight forward construction.

Also, there is little detail, so the build is easy.

Do build it soon.

Easy is relative to one's skill. I agree that this one should be easy for an average model builder. I am finding that my own skills are below average and so will probably bow out and return for now to models more appropriate to my skill level. But I will certainly continue to follow your excellent build closely, Isaac.

Don

Only way to improve one's skills is practice.

Yes, you need talent to be a master ( and I am not by any means ), but even Mozart would have been a nothing if he did not practice.

I urge you to continue. You do not need to post if you are uncomfortable.
