Gary Pilsworth's Piper Tripacer
I don't know if anyone else has started building Gary Pilsworth's Piper Tripacer yet, but here's my go at this project. I forgot to bring red edge coloring with me this week, so the edges are a little ragged. To get the interior the match the exterior on the double sided parts sheet I had to use A4 size metric paper. Model is a free download here. http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/v...ownloadid=2621

So I didn't like the full size model, the wing support was just too weak with the windows cut out. Instead I cut the size down by half and made the model 1/48 scale with solid windows. I added some bird shot inside the nose and front tire to keep her standing upright. Also the prop is movable. Here are the results:

I also added the wing registration numbers.

Looks great! How do you make the prop movable?

The simple solution is the best. I just glued a paper cylinder to the back of the prop and stuck it in the hole in the front of the engine.
Here's a few more photos to show her back end. |

Quite simple indeed. I think I'll try that on the next set of engines I make. Thanks for the tip!
