PZL 7A 1/33rd from Marek

All,

I finally got printer issues solved with better colors (the B-24 looked cool) so I printed out this Marek design I bought from Andrey's e-shop. Looks like a nice kit to try with yet another way to do things. So here are just the "kit" parts!

I look forward to it.

Cheers,
Dan

All the Polish fighters were handsome aircraft. I look forward to this build.

All,

I got the main engine parts done. The pictures tell the tale. All the parts fit really nicely so far.

I'm going to try and detail the engine a bit more like i did on the J-22. This will be fun.

Cheers,

Dan

Well...since this last post, I started to put on the cowling and area just in front of the crank case, ONLY THEN realizing that you can't have the cylinders in place to do this! Do'h!!!

I have since pulled them off and started the cowl etc. and it's looking ok. I'll post actual pictures tonight.

Just a brief update!

Dan

So...here it is! The parts, so far, fit nicely. I was a bit afraid of the successive cowl rings since they were all simply butt joints. This terrified me. But, they fit great, are smooth and a tribute to the designer. My cuts must have been careful enough too. I just cut right along the lines (split 'em).

The only one that is a bit off for me was the rear-most wrap around the cowl. It left a gap at the bottom which I filled with extra paper. Not sure why this happened, as all the others fit really nicely and matched. Oh, well...

Now I hope rest goes together as well!

Cheers,
Dan

Looks nice. Just bend these small connecting "leaves" to inside the fuselage, so they will not be visible when you install the wing later.

Very nice clean work. The detailing on the engine looks very nice, and a great looking pilot's office.

Thanks, Folks. Here is the state of affairs tonight. I'm working very slowly but am trying to get my seams to look like Isaac's Fury! That is...seam-less.

Mine need work and I botched the left side of the head rest...but the right side is pretty good. I also folded tabs the CORRECT way (Thanks...) and added the cockpit edging. The last shot shows the completion so far...

We'll see how far I can get tomorrow. Thanks for looking and have a great Sunday...Dan
