Back at it again

Ahoy Modelwrights

Been awhile but back on the forum, Okay Isaac informed that there is a paper model show here in Dayton Ohio at the Air Force Base. So I will attend I am back on my hobby model P2 Neptune spent 2 hours tuning her up and give her a cleaning and she sparkles now. I have until May to get her done so I have plenty of time to prosper on the build without rush. Not much done apposed to the last posting Now I am ready to resume construction. Below are three pictures she is all tuned up now.

Beautiful model. What happened to the right wing tip? That funny wrinkle!!! The Neptune is soooooooooo beautiful. Was it also designed by the genius Clarence L. Kelly Johnson?

Nice work Boats! Glad to see you back building again.

No Kelly Johnson didn't.......... proposed by Mac Short on 12-6-41 it was not until summer of 1944 that Robert Bailey assembled a team to use John Wassall project studies on the use of twin R-2800 or R3350 engines to design the Neptune.......

Port Engine Assembly

Ahoy Paperwrights

Okay for today making progress with the Neptune, spent most of the time tuning things up on the kit I haven't touched this for more then a year or so. so I got to re focus on the build as it follows. The assembly of port engine is underway a coupe more pieces to go then I can roll her on her back and get her legs on so she can stand tall when the engine assembly is completed I will do some more burnishing and straighten things out as I go. here are the update pictures for the day more tomorrow.

It's always good to see you back here Boats. Wish you could spend more time with us. Neptune's looking good, especially for having spent a year or so in the hangar. Looking forward to the next set of pics.
