Hobby model p2v-7 neptune 1/33

Ahoy Gents
Here is another build I will get started on I had this kit for ages on end and its time to pay my dues. This will be a big build when done I built one of these before here on a smaller scale 1/50 a good kit but this kit is more superior then the other build I done. Reviewing the parts on the printings it will be a simple build for me and difficult by others. for the new year of 2017 This will be a good kit to build My only beef is I wished it was printed in Us Navy Markings instead of the French
Navy but I love the color schedule on the printing and looks to be a great build. Enough chatter time to build the kit.

Should be a fun build as I know you like the large models.

Actually, This kit has the markings of the Royal Netherlands Navy [KON. MARINE] (Koninklijke Marine). This is physically a big kit; a thick book of A3 pages.
Should take awhile!

The build begins fuselage construction

Ahoy Gents
The beginning of the build has begun the fuselage construction will grow as I begin. Okay have the front skins assembled on the fuselage assembly when skin No. 5 has been installed the interior parts will follow such as cockpit front wheel wells and a few parts on the front of the fuselage. As to the fit if parts they fit really well starting to have fun building the Turculent turtle , I stand corrected I thought this was French Markings It is the Netherlands so you learn something everyday like my late father use to say the day you stop learning is the day you stop living.

More pictures will be posted as the build starts to grow here are the pictures of the day.

Fuselage construction

Ahoy Gents
The build still continues as the fuselage grows and there is more to come on the fuselage construction. One skin is left and the fuselage assembly is done next starting forward I will detail out the fuselage and give it a good burnishing to smooth out the seams. Thus far there are a fit issue with the formers two out of 10 fortmers were undersized and had to be traced over again and made to fit the skins I had the same problem, with their F105 Thundercheif. other then that everything fit very well the card stock on the kit is very thin apposed to Flymodel and Modelarz kits. same thickness as the P2V Verlag kit I built on the forum past. Below are the update pix of the build this thig is a huge kit bigger then the B-17 in 1.33 scale.
