Damn Dan, that was amazing video on the rigging. Not sure my hands could stay still long enough to do it. I've used very fine wire but I guess that's cheating huh? That was a great video and one I saved. Maybe one day I'll get up the nerves. Thanks again. Great aircraft model too. Thanks for taking the time. wc

Thanks, WC I'm really glad it was instructive. I think I'll try and make a complete build video since it was hard to find the basics when I started looking. Being new to this hobby, it may help others just exploring. I was lucky to find Frankie Day who basically talked about tabs, formers, burnishing and painting edges. As a plastic modeler, these were all completely new ideas to me.

Wire isn't cheating at all. If anything, elastic thread certainly is! I guess it just may be overkill for a paper model, but it may be great on say...my floats on this beast. They may need a bit more structure.

Thanks again for the kind words and keep clipping.

Dan

Done!!

After a couple of nights rigging, here she is. I have left of lots of rigging in the name of sanity, but this does sure give an overall impression!

I tried adding some bombs but I really couldn't make them look too good. I need more practice making conical shapes and rolling paper. I also don't know if the rear gun is proper, but I like it back there and it makes the machine look like a warrior.

Thanks for looking and have a great week,

Dan

It is really beautiful, Dan! I truly enjoyed watching you put this historical and good-looking airplane together.

She's gorgeous! Keep her under glass so you never have to dust her. Can't imagine the rigging helps with that.

SO true about the dust and rigging! Most of my stuff is in a case or two but still needs to be dusted once in a while. I'll need to be more careful with these paper guys!

Cheers and thanks for the encouragement.
