Fuselage finished
Thanks Ronan, good to see you again.
Well, in the mean time I finished the rest of the fuselage, which is a good moment for a break and to return to the other project. The fit of the model up so far is perfect, only the formers of the centre section are slightly too small. This can easily be solved by gluing small strips of paper around the formers. For me the combination of one layer of 160 grams and one layer of 80 grams (standard print paper) worked out the best. Also the luggage hold doors are in place. The building instructions do not provide a clue how to install them but in Milenio3's thread of January/February 2016 Sumato provided the answer. You may think it's a small model - certainly not - it's around 40cm in full length . To be continued, Erik |

Thanks guys, I'd say that at least 50% of the credits should go to Sumato as well for the great design and realistic print!

Great work! I used to love to watch the Eastern DC-9s fly in an out of Washington National in the early 80s. Beautiful airplanes.
