Humm

the national marking of the star and bars is a WW2 version
Lockheed "Viking" Fly 1:33-stars-til-1947.jpg

and not the version current to the Viking back in the 60's or 70's or 80's
here is the correct version:

The kit maker took some liberties here.

Yikes! I totally missed the pre-1947 national insignia while focusing on the ejection seat warning.

Looks like maybe the red color was left out of the version on the right.

Hello friends,

a small step ongoing:

the nose-hull is closed, and inside I deposit fishing lead, so that the front gear if it's build and mounted, have a chance to touch the ground. The first build of the nose dome failed, because I used too thin paper flaps (cigarette paper), so I got an ugly nose. Now I have a better one, not perfect, but have a look...

Hello all,

a further progress:

with a little help from my acrylic red ([friends] first @beatles then @joe cocker)
you can see the dimension of the model and I get the national markings and the ejection seat warning right.

The nose is looking very good and the canopy seems to be a good one (fit, transparency, etc.). I look forward to the continuation of your build.

Hello friends,

two steps more...

@elliott, the fitness isn't good as it seems, but the necessary correction can be done with my skills. But I never know if some lack of fitness is dued to my skills...it is a kind of hermeneutic circle ;-).

@Falco, thank you for your appreciation.

Well, it goes on with section 6 with a unknown kind of equipment, and section 7 with a bomb bay or torpedo bay?.

Nice work, the front end with the windshield looks great. Keep up the great work.

Hello friends,

the framework goes on...

For comparison, the short side of the tile has a length of 30 cm.

@Gary, thank you very much for appreciating my work.
