Hello Friends,

no progress, but clumsy mending.
I followed the assembly instructions (by pictures) to build a structure under the fuselage hull near the tailpiece (in 50 holes one have to steep in 50 little paper cylinders, I've done it, what a mess...).

A workaround have to be done: Cut out the structure from the hull part. With a safety scan I reproduced that cutted out piece. I took a 2 mm thick cardstock and punched the 50 holes in? out? Painted black (@Rolling Stones! Yeah!) and glued the cardstock block with the holes under the hull piece and mounted the piece again in the hull segment.

pics 1 - 3: Left mess, right workaround
pics 4 - 5: mounted in hull

Hello friends,

some interesting equipement...I don't no their role and function, but that is a nice aspect to build things without any knowledge about it.

pic 1: equipement retracted
pic 2: equipement pulled out
pic 3: the cardstock fence for the brass rod (tail)
pic 4: a mystery, the hull part between the two frames should be stable enough to hold the parts together...

At the rear of the aircraft is the MAD or Magnetic Anomoly Detector for detecting submarines and I believe the item at the front is a refueling probe.

I did not credit you with the skill you display while building this model, I'm sorry. You are doing a great job

Nice job on the sonobouy tubes! I think I would have skipped that and let the texture do the work for me. And the retractable MAD boom is pretty slick too.

Hello folks,

@Mike1158, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and appreciating my work.
@Isaac, thank you for your nice words.
@PhantomCruiser, as we in Germany say: "less is more".

Now some progress...

As said before there is no framework between the two frames, so I build my own construction pic 1 to 3.
The little cardstock parts support a rectangular and stable connection between the frames.
pic 4 to 5 show the the tailhook bay (with additional flaps for connection with the hull) and the tailhook holder, that should be mounted before applying the hull.

wing fold mechanism

Hello folks,

I´ve search a lot at i-net, but I didn't found anything about this theme. Therealot of pics with folded wings, and on can see the parts, but I don't how they move! So I can support a schematic pic with the parts I identified. The pic shows the cross-section of the wing, were it can befolded. The rods are arranged with an offset. The cylinder seems to me the mainpart (hydraulic) for folding. I don't know, wether the rod holders have always the same relative position or not? What is the end-position of the rods, the holders and the cylinder? It is only clear for me that these parts must hidden into the wing, when it is unfolded.

Is there somebody in the netspace, who has the knowledge and likes it to share?

My thankx in advance, even the post isn't easy to read.

Hello friends,

here some pics from a testbuild, and some details about the hinge.
