Hello all,
@Don_Boose, thank you for appreciating the report, and thanks for personal and interesting comment, now I know what a "trap" or "cat" is. Now the hull over the fuselage is finished.

Hi folks,
the tail feather should be fold-able, too. Here we go: The hull from the kit is one part, so I divided it into two, filled it with frames (cutted in two parts, too) (pics 1 - 3). Closed the rudder bottom with paper and cardstock (pic 4). Now I build in a kevlar hinge (jeans demin). Views to left, to right side and folded to the left side (pics 5 - 7). After hours searching for a detailed view of the fold mechanics, I only found that the "plastic guys" have a detail-set wings folded for the viking, better than nothing....

Just as promised:
additional simple mechanical structures. Just my two cents in pic 1 and their usesage can be seen in pic 4. A thin cardstock stripe (can be seen in pic 4, too) is used to hold the tail rudder in a defined vertical position, if the rudder is unfolded (pic 3).

I'm just catching up with your progress and very impressed with your engineering of the wings and tail.

Hello rmks2000,
thank for your appreciating the building report. Here the final version of the tail feather (some cardstock pieces and some colour).

Hi folks,
some progress has to be reported: The engine left is ready. There are some problems in pic 1, you can see that there is a blend of frame2frame and flaps method. I decided to work out the whole engine only with flaps and use only frames where necessary. The drawing on the parts weren't not always accurate. It is a very difficult part from the kit and I've to overcome some obstacles to achieve a suffcient result (for me). Even the pylon didn't match to the engine, but as I said if there is something you can cut, cut it!

I see what you mean. This is a poor fitting and poor graphics kit.
You may want to consider using putty to smooth the engine nacelles and painting it over like a plastic model. Isaac

Hello Isaac,
thank you for your hint. But as you write "like a plastic model", I haven't the skills to do that. I even have problems with colouring the background colours (only two colour shades of grey, that is too much, don't think about fifty!) to get it right with pastell or acrylic colours. You can temper the colours hours and hours but you don't get the right hue, so I take what I get.

Hello folks,
a little improvement. I applied the hull inside the intake (part 33oL) like the instruction showed. Outside the edge small diameter and inside bigger diameter. But real life wants it the other way round, so I made a truncated cone myself and glue it in intake. Looks better...

Maybe not, but you certainly have the skills to overcome most challenges and get to where you are now!
Looks great.
