The glass part has me stumped(nothing new there). I for one sure would enjoy a tutorial on how the glass cutting is done. I have the model in my libary but paper colored canopies are a bit of a turn off for me. I have tried using other materials but not on a bubble style canopy. wc

Thank you all)
JohnM, yeah they knew how to make the cool things out))) The booms, made'em from ball pen tubings without ink inside. Some thin wire was put inside to hold the things together and be though connected to the cabin too, with a small punched holes for wires geting into it. Wad Cutter dont'be afraid to give a try really) Just a simple glass cutter. But you don't need a perfect rounded hole. The main thing not to smash the whole bulb, after bulb, and after bulb))) Whatever, it doesn't also matter)

Dear John M:
My father was Chief Design Engineer for The Helicopter division of Bell Aircraft co. as it was for the first part of the Korea conflict then it be came Bell helicopter. First they made a wood form of the bubble then they made a big oven to fit the form and a big sheet of plexiglass first ones were just popped over later it was vacuformed. History rules, Miles |

It took a lot of effort to get the body scaled to a lightbulb I don't remember being this young though I designed the tents for the diorama as well, if that helps. |

Hi Guys,
Hey,,, I built the Batman version of this chopper a while back. And what I used for the cabin glass was a plastic cover from a Fridge lightbulb I bought at the dollar store. I trimmed it down and scratch built the interior. That way it's a bit safer and you can put what you want to into it. Here are a few pictures. Best Regards, Gary |
