Not to worry. I have been confused more than once! Plus...you sure were right about that nose part. Mine was short as well. Easily fixed, though. It's fun to build these in tandem. I hope to get some more done on the weekend. Cheers, Dan |

All,
A bit more work on this ol' guy. I put on the chin scoop. Went on very well. I also started the spinner and props. More on THOSE later. I had some issues with the directions and realized I should have used thinner paper to roll the hubs! It all turned out, however. Finally, my Wife and Son got me three new downloads! I liked the Dell B-24 so much that they got me his B-17 and my Son picked the old "C" model which is just perfect. Plus, it's in British markings making it even cooler. Also the SSW Riesenflugzeug and finally, a lovely Spitfire! It's hard to give downloads as gifts, but my Son figured out a great way. He folded the picture of the models into a paper airplane complete with trailing birthday tassel and sailed it down the stairs to me. Fun, fun fun!!!! Cheers to all, Dan |

It's very nice that your family supports your hobby! Half the time my wife can't even tell what plane I'm building despite being married to a paper airplane museum curator.

All,
This one has been gestating for a while on the shelf of doom. Lots of other projects have gotten in the way, but now I'm working on the wing radiators and then the landing gear. The wings/skins worked pretty well with only a couple of issues (my own). Sure is looking like an early mark 109 and will look great with my PZL! Cheers and thanks for looking....Dan |

Looks great, Dan, and I am glad to hear that you will be building John Dell's RAF Fortress. I look forward to learning from your build. I built one of his B-17Cs, but my craftsmanship wasn't up to the job, so I hope to build a better one in the future.
I think this is an image of your Messerschmitt 109E-1 of 1/JG20 in Poland in 1939 (Source: Bf-109E - Luftwaffe) Don |

Glad your Bf-109 didn't get permanently assigned to the Shelf of Doom Dan. It is looking very good and, imho, the skins show no issues from here.

Thanks Don and Elliot! Great shot, Don. That sure looks like "my" machine. Cool beans.
So here are the radiators installed. They took some head-scratching, but look really neat when all done. I especially like the trailing edge doors that are basically hinged and the grills inside look neat too. On to the landing gear next! Cheers, Dan |

A bit more...I got the landing gear started and the tail wheel finished as well. The main tires are not done but you can see the "sit" of the machine.
Thanks for looking...and more soon. Dan |
