Crop Duster PT-17

This is what I am presently working on, Taking Julius (Paper-Replika) Stearman and modifying it into an early version of the old Bi-Plane cropduster like the one seen in Independence day. I am making a full cockpit for the two seater version and the single seater cropduster. It requires a bit of modifying and the Radial is will be more intricate and detailed as much as possible. The model is on the Beta stage and the build will be as done in the instructions. I will cover the conversion techniques. This will be up coming soon so stand by.

Radial engine

Very nice work. Where did that radial engine come from? Are you building in the original 1:40 scale?

Looking forward to following your build.

John

What engine?
Crop dusters often swapped in larger mills.

Thanks for looking in Don, it has been a while since I did something else other than Sci-Fi.

Thanks for looking in. At the moment I am doing a beta build and I am not recording the build sequence.

The plane is the original 1/40 scale and I use the central core of Julius's engine. The engine is scratch built and is a bit larger, almost like the size of a bomber than a fighter.

Looking forward to following your build.

Regards,
John

Thanks for looking in, As soon as I get the beta out of the way, I will start the build sequence.

In this case, the engine is rather large for the model but is still feasible.
