Nice feature Isaac. I hope that the doors won't get damaged during handling of the model while building. Those parts are usually very fragile. Keep up the good work!

These may not be the final doors. I made one door only and it is not permanently attached anyway. Its dry fit only.

I always add flaps, and other surfaces like the airbrakes at the end to minimize damage.

Cool Fuselage continued

now that the cutout details of the speed brakes are done, I can continue with the fuselage build.

So here are the the fuselage parts prior to the installation of the inlet, cockpit, speed brakes and the exhaust nozzle

The logical point to build in my opinion is from the rear all the way to the section containing the cockpit cutout. Then do the nose section and join at the cockpit cut out because I can then get a better fit with my fingers reaching inside.

From the aft section that included the exhaust and speed break add section going forward. You can reach in with the fingers to press the joining tabs

note that the frame is only added once the previous section is glued.

Now continue adding another section going forward

and finally the last section going forward is the one housing the aft cutout of the cockpit.

not difficult

Smile Nose section prep

Now that the aft section is done and set aside, shift attention back to the front.

So here is the nose section as completed before.
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3155.jpg

but if you want to build the model on its landing gear, there is a need to add some nose weights. so here they are.
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3205.jpg

wrap with glued tissue paper and attach to the bulkhead and on top of the nose gear bay. I added an additional card strip across the weights to make sure they are secure.

now join the forward and the aft fuselage sections at the cockpit cutout. No worries since Yoav made the cockpit tub flexible and it will slide later on inside for a good fit.

and here is the fuselage

the speed brake is just for show at this point.

Great work on the fuselage.

The speed brakes add a lot to the model.

Thumbs up Speed brake parts

All

The parts for the speed brakes on my build were developed by my request by our friend Yaron . Some of you reached out to me for the parts file. I'm sure Yaron will share those as well

I have built them, but they require modifications . So I'll ask him to make the changes and make the file available to all

Isaac
