Cool Thank you all- final pics

All

Thank you for your kind observations and words. I really enjoyed building this plane and making modifications/additions. I encourage you to download the model and go building it!

Some pics from my balcony overlooking downtown Toronto yesterday. It was windy and I had to constantly hold it or the wind would have taken it away.

Hi Isaac, magnificent build and great pictures! You made a very fine version of Yoav's beautiful model. The open cockpit and landing gear top it off.

Cheers,
Erik

Exclamation Fuel drop tanks correction

After attaching the drop tanks to the Super Mystere model, I noted that they look elongated and more suitable to the Mirage 3c.

Here are the tanks
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3570.jpg

Here is the model with the drop tanks
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3584.jpg

and here is the real plane with the tanks on.
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-pict4jms.jpg

Notice the difference?

So I contacted Yaron and he designed a corrected version. After building his initial version and had that corrected as well, he came up with the final version which he will make available to all.

Info to follow

Correct drop tanks for the Super Mystere

So here is the first drop tank I attached ( those are really Mirage 3c versions )
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3657.jpg

and Yaron's 1st version for the Super Mystere
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3655.jpg

and the 2nd different rendered version
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3656.jpg

and all 3 for comparison
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3658.jpgSuper Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3659.jpg

Now attach the final rendered version on the right side
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3660.jpgSuper Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3662.jpgSuper Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3664.jpgSuper Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3670.jpgSuper Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3671.jpg

and the first version ( I corrected the fins to match ) on the left pylon.
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3674.jpgSuper Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3675.jpgSuper Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3676.jpg

and here both
Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3679.jpgSuper Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3681.jpgSuper Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale-img_3682.jpg

I think this last version is great and will be provided as a supplement for the Super Mystere. I think that the same tank was also used later on by the Mystere 4a.

hi Isaac.

i took my drop tank from drawing i found in the net and gave to yaron and he made the parts.

here the drawing with my drop tank, you can see it the same Length and diameter like the original that in the original drawing.

Maybe there are 2 kinds of drop tank

I am sorry but, being me with my wonky glasses, I have to ask about the head on view of that plan. Is it me or is it asymmetrical? The left side looks narrower than the right.

Mike

What are you referring to ?

Left side of the plane, wings...?

Looks OK to me
