Super Mystere-Yoav's version in 1/30 scale
I decided to take a detour from my pre printed kits and go ahead and print all the pages for the new version that Yoav created. As you may know he was very generous in providing the kit ( all of his designs as well ) on this forum and the files are also on DGA site DGA Home Page look under Yoav's models. There is also a French Air Force version under Yaron's Models.
I have seen the white prototype design when I visited his place back in November 2015. Yoav gave me 2 vacuformed canopies to this model and hopefully I can save the other one for a Mystere 4a model since they appear identical ( at least the kits ). Since Yoav has provided a super detailed building log, I will not do so here Super mystere b2 - building report In addition, our member Ofanim has also done a great job Dassault Super Mystère B2 IAF - Yoavhozmi there are some more builds out there including the Israeli re engined version called the SA'AR. But that is a different kit from this one. I have built that one in the past IAF SA'AR Super Mystere in 1/33 scale and Shalom Mor build excellent build An Israely Super Myster last note here I promised my wife to build the F-104G. That will come after this build Isaac

planned modifications
I plan to add the
also, I am considering
I would like to drop the flaps, but there is not a single photo out there showing a detail of that flap in the dropped position. Only some showing the plane landing and the flap down, but from a side view. I have no idea if this is a lower flap that drops only ( similar to the Mystere 4a or Mig 15/17 ), or is the upper surface a part of the flap ( which I don't think so ). If anyone has better detail, let me know. here is what I found on the internet so far: strange that there are so few photos detailing a dropped flap ( it is so shy ) Isaac

Thank you for the reference pictures. Do you have a closer look at the top of the wing rear where the flap is located? I wanted to know if it is only the lower wing trailing edge that forms the flap or is it also the top. My version will be Yoav's original with the IAF roundels. Isaac

Sorry I don't have more pictures, I will see if I can find more. But looking at pictures and blueprints it looks like only the bottom part is moving. Ronan

Yes, count me in as well. From the title of this thread I notice you're going to build this one in 1:30 scale, not downscaled to 1:33?
Good luck Isaac! Erik |

However , I built Yoav's F-4E Phantom at it turned out later on the the scale was 1/30 , so I am perpetuating the "error" in 1/30 scale to make sure that I don't screw up the printing of the files Also, I have his canopy in the 1/30 scale and did not feel like making a different one in 1/33 scale Isaac
