cocpit

The kit does come with a fairly rudimentary detailed cockpit. I doubled up the control panel and punched out the the instrument bezels but left it stock.

thanks guys, trying to catch up. 1 or 3 builds a year x 1500 builds to go, that means i'll be done sometime in 2117 or so! the fuselage went together fairly well. my method is to take both bulkheads tack them together and then sand them to the contours of the fuselage segments. I also take them down so that a small amount of the fuselage skins protrude , less then 1/4 mm. this is so they softly squish together and tend not to leave the gaps of flat bulkhead to bulkhead builds. I thing the actual thickness of the glue causes those gaps. I think it works in theory, sometimes....

here is the fairings for the "landing skid". in theory a spring loaded ski extended when the fuel ran out, which was a matter of minutes, and the lawn dart, er aircraft, spronged down on this thing. there was a tail wheel that sorta allowed it to be roughly steered on the ground. usually the thing crashed and broke the pilots back, sometimes it worked. the lower fairings went together well...

If it didn't break his back, it might have exploded in a fiery chemical burn.
