Nice one CT! I've found that the Bf-109 is one of the better FG models with regard to the fuselage/wing join.

In regards to the canopy, I cut the paper frame out then glued it to the covering clear film of a Fed Ex mailer. Then I filled the frames in with a layer of white glue to stiffen it.

CT.

I got to try that on my FG 109 as well, but yours does look better, i have to admit. Mine kinda got ruined by a bad laserprinter (ink flakes really bad on the edges, and forgot to spray the pages before cutting).

You can always paint the edges with something like acrylic, then blend the paint to make it look like weathering, or just paint the whole model.

As planes go, this is the most amount of details I have tried in one. I am going to more detailed plans now, and I did put in a lot of engine detail in my WW1 Fokker E-III, so I am improving. I have been doing models for about five months now, and have completed maybe 30 models, but most have been really basic and small. All have been good practice on edge coloring, scoring and cutting. I have helped the boys with five or six other planes and some real nice ships for school projects also, and the ships came out real nice. So now I am feeling ready to invest in the good ink, card, and a st of markers for edge coloring. A good gray color would be great, along with the hard wood stain marker Keds girl Lala told me about for coloring wood parts like tooth picks used for struts. I will be getting more blades as well, wow a guy goes through them fast! My last ones were exacto, and as predicted by other members ere, I broke the small points off a lot of them.

My tools are basicly anything i can find/scrounge from work (that's right, working as a cleaner has advantages!), but i did buy my blades, but they have no brand, but they are better then the ones i got with the bladeholder. On the printer side, i'm thinking of getting a Canon MP540, as it is 'cheap' and it looks good and had a good review in a hardware magazine.

Edge coloring i haven't tried yet on the FG kits, mostly because of the flaky ink.
